Pursership ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Pursership ship agency management platform available at pursership.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

Account registration details (name, email, company)
Voyage, vessel, cargo, and bill of lading data you enter
Crew, visitor, and pre-arrival document data related to your voyages
PDA (Proforma Disbursement Account) and master declaration records
Email account credentials when you connect Gmail or Outlook via OAuth
Communications and correspondence related to ship operations

3. Gmail and Email Data

When you connect your Gmail or Outlook account, Pursership requests access to read, organize, and send email on your behalf, solely to power features you explicitly use inside the app. We use this access to:

Display and analyze incoming messages related to voyage operations
Extract pre-arrival documents and crew information
Provide AI-assisted document processing and mail routing
Let you archive, mark as read, mark as spam, or delete messages from the Mail Center
Send email from your connected address when you compose or reply from Pursership

We do not store your emails permanently beyond what is needed to display them in the Mail Center, do not share them with third parties, and do not use email content for advertising purposes. Messages are never sent or deleted except as a direct result of an action you take in the app. You can disconnect your email account at any time from Settings, which immediately revokes this access.

Our use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the Pursership platform
To process voyage-related documents using AI
To display vessel position and voyage progress via MarineTraffic integration
To send service notifications via email or Telegram
To ensure platform security and prevent abuse

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), JWT authentication, and access controls. Data is not sold or rented to third parties.

6. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services:

Google (Gmail API — OAuth access to read, organize, and send email)
Microsoft (Outlook API — OAuth read-only access)
MarineTraffic (vessel position and voyage tracking)
Telegram (notification delivery)
OpenAI / AI providers (document and mail analysis)

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at the address below. You can also disconnect third-party integrations from your account settings.
